UX design at Meta

content design at meta

Senior content designer, 2021 - present

TLDR; I led content design for Messenger communities, inbox, and notes. Then early in 2025, I jumped to Facebook to focus ‘OG Facebook’ via Friends Tab and profile redesign. I found my sweet spot in early-stage projects where user needs drive the best decisions.

Core skills: UX design, systems thinking and design, copywriting and editing, product strategy, information architecture, UX research, AI systems and tooling, designing for other languages, product prototyping

Highlights include

The return of OG Facebook, 2025

  • I helped lead the development and launch of Friends tab and profile directory, under the direction of Facebook executive leadership

  • Collaborated with designers across Meta at breakneck-speed to execute on a profile redesign that executive leadership envisioned

  • Led the introduction of new consumption models – the first additions to Facebook's feed in years

  • Met daily with engineering, product management and data science teams to ensure designs are feasible and solving real user problems

  • Became an ambassador to the OG Facebook rebrand, championing our revised voice and tone internally

  • Sort of retained my sanity

The main focus of OG Facebook: A place just for friends.

Messenger, 2021 - 2025

  • I was a lead content designer for the Messenger initiative and high-priority Meta feature, Community Chats

  • I led efforts to make Messenger more social, including the integration of Messenger stories, notes and the inbox redesign

  • My highest-impact work included introducing a new public messaging paradigm to Messenger, requiring highly-regulated messaging to educate users on this new mental model
